Hello Everyone,
It is that time again to update the journey of our House Of Muscle sponsored athlete, Ethan Pendry. He is training hard, eating right and taking House Of Muscle supplements as he continues to prepare for his November bodybuilding contest, the NPC Jay Cutler Baltimore Classic.
Since our last update, Ethan has kept very busy. He was looking for some inspiration so he decided to check out the NPC Baltimore Gladiator Championships on March 22. He was able to see top IFBB professionals in person, which motivated him to continue to train hard and push himself towards his goals.
As we said, Ethan has definitely been training hard. During training heavy squats "to the floor", Ethan sustained a minor back injury which he called "a strain on my erector spine". Ethan is a very experienced athlete and trainer and was able to discover what the injury was and how to heal from it in good time. He wanted to make sure we all knew that he is doing fine. He recently told us, "I'm back in action everything is going to be ok."
Injuries can be one of the most frustrating things to happen to an athlete. We have all had them and we have all had to fight back from them. The most important thing to remember when you sustain an injury is patience. You want to find the balance of pushing yourself in your rehab but still being conservative and smart. The drive to succeed may force some to rush back to soon, but that usually results in a negative outcome. Be patient with your rehab and push yourself when your body allows it.
Ethan is also really enjoying his current supplement stack. He is in the final stages of his current supplement regimen, which is geared towards gaining muscle mass. As you can see from the recent photos, he has packed on some new high quality muscle mass and is still lean and defined. He also wanted us to share that he hit a personal best on bench press during this phase of his training. He benched 405lbs for 8 reps! Now that is impressive!
As you can see, Ethan has pushed through his injury with patience and persistence and he is now back on track to be better than ever! Ethan is still preparing to earn a top five finish at the National Physique Committee (NPC) Jay Cutler Classic Bodybuilding Competition (National Qualifier) in Baltimore, MD, USA on 11/02/14. We will continue to provide updates on Ethan's journey through Ethan's Page, our email newsletter, our FaceBook page, our Twitter page, our Blog and you can watch videos of Ethan on our YouTube channel.
