House Of Muscle bodybuilder Ethan Pendry has begun his journey to his next competition. Since Ethan's last show in November 2014, where he placed 2nd in his class, Ethan has been working hard. After enjoying the holidays and recovering from a brutal bodybuilding dieting phase, Ethan has been training and gearing up for his next prep phase. During his training, Ethan suffered an injury to his clavicle tendon, and missed some training for about a month. He, like all of us, is human, and had to take some time off which stalled his progress. However, he is back at it and ready to grow and progress. Here's the latest from Ethan himself:
"I got sick and injured my clavicle tendon. I'm good now, but lost some real decent gains over the last 3-4 weeks. I have a trainer at my gym to push me further (for this prep). I meet with him 4 days a week. He's a former USA contender with numerous other wins in different federations. I'm on a very clean bulk right now -- keeping things heavy and consistent. I'm not where I want to be, even though my trainer likes where I'm at. I want to be much bigger and maintain the conditioning I had last year. I have room for many improvements so I'm going full tilt."
As you can see, Ethan is a resilient and driven person. He believes he can continue to excel and is planning on pushing hard to do so. He has joined up with a local coach this year, so he will be able to have more monitoring on his diet and training. This is a great tool to have when it comes to bodybuilding. It is always good to have a "second eye". Ethan has made some tweaks to his overall approach as well:
"I didn't have fats in my prep last year and this year I'm keeping healthy fat higher (in my diet) to help mobilize fat better (help him burn fat). Especially using House Of Muscle's Omega Gold. So, my energy sources will be coming from fats first, then I'll start to cycle carbs in a few months. Since I have my trainer beside me now instead of working on my own, I will have a better understanding of expecta
These adjustments are the things high level bodybuilders need to do in order to continue to push themselves to be better and better. As Ethan continues to push, here is what he will be aiming at:
"The shows I will be competing in are the Northern USA Championships in Harrisburg, PA on September 26, and the Big Cat Classic in Allentown, PA on October 3. At that time, I'm going to "re-feed" (his diet with carbohydrates) and go on to nationals in Miami, FL on November 20/21."
Ethan has laid out some pretty detailed plans here and is going to be hitting the stage in only 7 months! Here are some final thoughts from Ethan:
"I feel as though I can get in the condition, size and shape needed (to do well).I think it's worth taking the shot; for experience and to go for the dream. I hope to crack top 15 in nationals and to win my other two shows. Thank you for your continued support guys. I'm deeply motivated. I'm hungry for the win."
Without getting into too much detail, Ethan said he spoke to the judges at his last show, and his final placing of 2nd was very close to being 1st in his class. Ethan is on the brink of some great bodybuilding success, and this motivates him further. We hope that you can gain motivation from following him on his journey to bodybuilding success.
